VACANCY FOR A SENIOR AUDITOR


Our firm, G. Kalopetrides & Partners Ltd, a well-established and expanding audit firm is seeking a suitably qualified, high performing professional to join our Assurance Services Division.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop his / her technical knowledge of various industries, as well as, having the opportunity to work with a number of high profile business entities.

The position reports to a designated Audit Supervisor / Manager and will have direct responsibility for a number of audit functions, as follows:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high quality audit and assurance services, including preparing and reviewing audit plans and work.

  • Achieve team and individual budgets and business / financial performance objectives.

  • Manage project financials, including budgets, WIPS, timely billing and collection and variance recognition.

  • Maintain the highest technical and professional standards.

  • Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks.

  • Address situations before they become crises and develop solutions to avoid recurrence.

  • Provide additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis.

  • Participate in the development of ways to meet client needs and contribute to proposal-delivery.

  • Identify ways to maximise the effectiveness of relationships with clients and deliver added value.

  • Monitor and control supervised audit staff.

  • Coach, train and develop audit staff to upgrade their knowledge.

  • Be seen as a role model for professional colleagues.

  • Carry out practice management activities e.g. resourcing, client billing etc.

  • Undertake wider office activities, as required.

 

Requirements

 

  • University graduate, holder of an upper class Bachelor’s degree and / or Master’s degree in an accounting-related field.

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).

  • Commitment to targets.

  • 5+ years of external audit experience, ideally with exposure to multiple sectors of business activity.

  • Team player with strong organisational, interpersonal, communication and project management skills, including leading teams.

  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek languages (written and spoken).

  • Advanced familiarity with the MS-Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

  • Very good knowledge of the CaseWare Audit International, audit-methodology toolkit.
